The special composition of the radiation shielding glass from SCHOTT provides an optimum protection against X-rays and gamma rays in medical, industry and research work. The lead oxide content of RD50 and RD30 is more than 65 respectively 22 per cent by weight.

Radiation RD30 has a neutral colour and meets the requirements of IEC 60601-2-45 and DIN EN 60601-2-45.
